For almost 100 years
the beacon of Pellworm lighthouse has been guiding mariners the
sea.This seamark
stands for reliability, strength and power but also loyalty and
safety; solid as a rock in every weather – in all seasons.
It is not only these
symbolical qualities that explain why more than 1,200 couples have
exchanged vows at Pellworm Lighthouse, but also the unique atmosphere
of the highest registry office in the in northern Germany.

this unforgettable maritime wedding location has spread widely:
You drive to the entrance gate of the lighthouse grounds where a
registrar and Captain Wilfried Eberhardt, the organizer of lighthouse
weddings, will welcome you.
When you ascend the 140
enclosed stairs to the highest registry office, past various decks
that have been lovingly decorated with maritime features, the unique
atmosphere of this place will captivate you.
After the civil wedding
captain Eberhardt will conduct a maritime ceremony to launch the
ship of your marriage onto its journey into the harbour of your
future life together. Then
the newlyweds will go up to the observation gallery for their first
walk together, following the lighthouse beacon which will show them
their future way.
A few decks further down
a a local woman from Pellworm will be looking forward to treating
you to sekt and other traditional specialities.
